Good News from Ahimsa: "Our magnificent Mr. Tig Tig has found his perfect match! The King, as he is often refered to, even has his own haren of three girl kitties to worship him lol. Our Tiggy has made us all proud. From starting out as a kitty we thought might be feral to working his way up to our offical greeter, he has earned his retirement and the love only a family can give him. We packed up his favorite bed and his much adored pink feather to serve as his going away present. While he will be greatly missed by all the volunteers, we had to remind ourselves that this was our goal from the start - to find him a family. However, sometimes success can be bitttersweet when the extra special ones who have stolen your heart leave the building. XOXO Tiggy we shall miss you!!"

This is the completed watercolor painting of Tigg of Ahimsa. The image size is approximately 14" x 11". I matted it to fit into a standard size 16" x 20" frame.
I am donating all the proceeds for the sale of this painting and the shipping costs to Ahimsa Haven Animal Rescue of Templeton, Massachusetts.

When Tigg the Orange Tabby Cat came to Ahimsa Haven, it was the end of summer and still warm out. At first, he was kept in the outdoor cathouse because it was believed he was feral.
But once Tigg was brought into his new indoors cage, it was clear he was a lover of leisure. Tigg is an indoor/outdoor neutered cat who loves company and affection. He prefers not to be picked up, but he is definitely a lap cat. When I first saw the photo of Tigg on Ahimsa's website, I loved the expression on his face! April, the volunteer who took the photo, kindly let me use it as reference for this painting.
When the painting is completed, I will put it up for auction on Ebay to benefit the Ahimsa shelter: all proceeds (100%) will be donated to Ahimsa.
