As much as they come to love us, kittens need the companionship of other cats. By adopting a pair, you guarantee that they will have a friend to play with and groom while you are out of the house. Some authorities also point out that kittens help train each other; unfortunately, in our case, the kittens trained each other to use our book shelves as scratching posts!
