I painted this watercolor of our cat Marina on cold press cotton paper.
Neighborhood dogs cower when they sense Marina is near. Marina herself is intimidated by a small brown bird that lives near the back porch. Cheeping as loud as it can, the bird swoops down over Marina. Then it hops along the porch, closer and closer, until it is only a few inches from her magnificent set of claws. This will go on for fifteen or twenty minutes, until Marina remembers that she prefers the front porch.
