In winter, we only heat our home into the low 60s. When snow and hail pelt against the windows, our cats are desperate to find a warm place away from the drafts.

Widget's favorite place to nap in winter was under a desk lamp on our pine dresser. Always a territorial cat, she would growl at anyone who tried to share this particularly warm spot.
