Siamese Cat Attacking Vase of Flowers

One of our Siamese cats was always intrigued by water's moving reflections and refractions. When sunlight hit his bowl, Zeke could sometimes be seen tentatively patting the water's surface with his paw. He was fine with opaque vases. But a few moments after I took my reference photos for this painting, the vase was knocked onto its side, and the flowers were in a heap on the floor. And Zeke loved the water trickling down over the counter top: that was his next favorite thing about water!
