I was trying out a new watercolor pigment on this painting. Not entirely happy with the effect, I ended up scrubbing out the background.

The painting was so wet after the scrubbing that it took several hours to dry properly before I could start again. I'm very lucky to have an area where I can tape things to the wall, and a family that doesn't mind watercolor puddles on the floor.
