Halloween Black Cat Mummy ACEO

This black cat Egyptian mummy was one of a series of Halloween artist trading cards that I painted several years ago. Besides a few touch-ups, I redrew the scarab.

Our local art museum has an Egyptian cat mummy (I believe it is on loan from the Boston Museum of Art). I know that the building of the pyramids was an incredible feat, but what impresses me about the ancient Egyptians is that they understood just how wonderful cats are.
